BIOGRAPHY
Leah is a Boston based creator, writer-illustrator, art director, designer-animator, and multi-media artist. Originally from Los Angeles, she has worked extensively in the entertainment industry since 2006, and has lived in New York and Paris, France.
With an MFA in Writing for Children from Simmons University, a BFA in Character Animation from the California Institute of the Arts, and a BA in English & Comparative Literary Studies Occidental College, her career has spanned from feature film to television, web content, book publishing, album art, and directing music videos. She has worked on productions for companies such as Disney, Cartoon Network, 20th Century Fox, Epitaph Records, PBS, and WGBH. Her personal projects explore themes of sustainability, diversity, and resilience.
Simultaneously, Leah has taught animation, art, and digital classes for children at every grade level, and is currently a full time faculty member in the Animation Department of the Massachusetts College of Art & Design.
Leah is also a dedicated volunteer planting trees at the Southwest Corridor Harcourt Community Gardens in Back Bay, Boston and is often found shore diving with her best buddy Jeff the Adventure Dog.
