Writing for Children
Leah is a writer and illustrator of children's books including young adult novels and graphic novels while focusing primarily on middle grade novels and picture books. Full of adventure, humor, and a lot of heart, these stories encourage children to have fun exploring nature, connecting with animals, and creating art while exploring themes of eco-friendliness, diversity, and activism.

Manny the Magnificent Mandarin Fish
This fictional picture book follows the fantastical life of Manny, the magnificent mandarin fish from the South Pacific who surprisingly finds himself in the cold Atlantic waters. This story invites children to find out how Manny beats the odds at survival and to join in the fun at the annual Tropical Fish Rescue organized by the New England Aquarium Dive Club in Jamestown, Rhode Island.

Journey to the Green World
In this "science-fantasy" novel, middle schooler Ryder Rose fights bullies at school, big corporations threatening to shut down down her neighborhood park, and ventures into the "Green World" to battle a secret coven of dark warlocks conspiring with government leaders for world power.

Walk in the Woods
In this illustrated picture book the young and crafty Lottie ventures out on a forest hike where she meets animals, counts mushrooms, and creates nature sculptures with gifts from the forest.

This picture book follows a day in the life of ten-year-old artist Lottie and her best friend Jeff as they navigate through city parks, dog parks, long walks by the water, and a fun exploration of outdoor urban art.
